Wendell, Massachusetts, incorporated 1781
TheWendell Historical SocietyThis beautiful old compass/sundial was found in the woods at the bottom of Locke Hill Road (as it starts up from Locke's Village Road) in Wendell, Massachusetts. Its interior contains various tiny, finely hand-painted symbols, numbers, and directionals. We were informed, but have not verified, that the Boston Public Library has a compass/sundial almost identical to this one, and it is said to have belonged to Paul Revere.
