This is a d-ring and is part of a horse bridle. It was discovered under an exterior wall at our museum during renovations in June, 2025.

Our building was constructed in 1930 by Wallace Goldsmith (age 74). His helper was a general laborer/contractor named D.O. Perry. One theory is that Perry traveled around with a horse and his cart of tools and that the ring made its way under the house during construction. However it got there, it's a real Wendell Historical Society artifact!
