Description

A railway line, owned by the Vermont & Massachusetts Railway, running west from Boston was built in the 1840s by Irish immigrants. Reaching Wendell, Massachusetts, this station was built in 1847 in the village of Putnamvillle which from then on came to be called Wendell Depot. It stood along the banks of the Millers River until it was dismantled about a century later.
