Repair work on the Wendell Depot railroad overpass after the hurricane and flood of September 21, 1938. Building furthest to the left is the train station. To the right of the crane is the Brown's home, then Burnham's. Far right is Wallace Goldsmith's home, now the Wendell Historical Society. The hill between the Brown's home and the river was taken by the flood, but the hill in front of Burnham's and Goldsmith's homes remained.
